SAMSUNG EXPERIENCE STORE LAYAWAY POLICY
Effective Date: January 21, 2025
Samsung offers a convenient layaway plan for customers who wish to purchase phones or devices over a period of time. Please review the policy below to understand the terms and conditions of our layaway program.
1. Eligibility and Minimum Purchase
- Layaway is available only for items with a purchase price o f $2000 or more.
- A 25% down-payment is required to initiate the layaway and hold the device.
2. Down Payment
- A 25% down-payment is required at the time of placing a layaway order. This down-payment will secure the item and begin the layaway process.
- The 25% down-payment is non-refundable, except in cases of cancellation where a restocking fee applies (see section below).
3. Cancellation and Restocking Fee
- Customers wishing to cancel their layaway order must do so within the 90-day layaway period.
- A cancellation will incur a 15% restocking fee on the 25% down- payment. The restocking fee is charged to compensate for the lost opportunity to sell the item to other customers during the layaway period.
4. Layaway Period and Payment Schedule
- The maximum layaway period is 90 days from the date the down-payment is made.
- All remaining payments must be completed within this 90-day period.
5. Late Payments and Interest
- Failure to complete the full payment within the 90-day period will result in a 10% interest charge for each additional month the payment is delayed.
- This interest will accrue monthly until the layaway balance is paid in full.
6. Final Payment
- Once the total amount is paid in full, the item will be released to the customer for pickup or shipment (depending on store policy).
- Customers are advised to make timely payments to avoid unnecessary interest charges and ensure the successful completion of their layaway plan.
7. Terms & Modifications
- Samsung reserves the right to modify or discontinue this layaway program at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes before they impact existing agreements.
- By participating in the layaway program, customers agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
