Samsung Latin America 1-Year Warranty Policy for Phones and Tablets
Warranty Coverage
Samsung offers a -1 year limited warranty on all Samsung phones and tablets purchased in Latin America. This warranty covers manufacturer defects under normal use during the warranty period. The warranty applies only to defects in materials or workmanship, and does not cover any form of physical damage, including but not limited to:
- Dents, digs, or deep scratches
- Cracked or damaged screens
- Water or liquid damage
- Corrosive damage
- Software tampering
- Physical tampering or alterations
Warranty Process
In the event that a defect is discovered within the 1-year period, customers should return the product to the nearest Samsung store or authorized service center. The item will be sent to a warranty center for inspection and repairs.
Repair Time
It may take up to 10-12 business days for the warranty center to receive, inspect, and process the return. If the product cannot be repaired, Samsung will provide further options.
Outcomes if the item cannot be repaired:
If the issue is deemed irreparable, customers will be instructed on how to proceed with one of the following:
- Exchange: A replacement product will be provided.
- Refund: A full refund will be issued.
- Credit: A store credit may be issued, redeemable for another product.
Loaner Devices
In some cases, loaner devices will be provided to customers at a responsible cost while their device is being repaired. If a loaner device is issued, customers will be required to return it in the same condition. Once the loaner device is returned, a refund will be issued for the cost of the loaner.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Accidental damage or misuse, including damage due to drops, impacts, or exposure to extreme conditions.
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications.
- Any issues caused by liquid or moisture exposure, corrosion, or other environmental factors not directly related to manufacturing defects.
International Coverage
This warranty is valid in all Samsung-authorized service centers and stores across the Latin American region. Customers who move or travel t o another Latin American country within the warranty period can have their devices repaired or replaced at the nearest Samsung service center.
